Allyship in Action – Building Bystander Action for Trans and Gender Equity: Forum Outcomes Paper (PDF)
Zoe Belle Gender Collective and Women’s Health In the North partnered to deliver a learning forum in April 2024 called Allyship in Action: Building Bystander Action for Trans and Gender Equity. This Forum Outcomes Paper details learnings and opportunities for strengthening collaborative action towards a shared vision for gender equity that is inclusive of trans and gender-diverse communities.

Engaging Men in the Prevention of Gender-Based Violence (PDF)
The ‘Engaging Men in the Prevention of Gender-Based Violence (PGBV) Community of Practice’ (CoP) is a collective action of the BRC Partnership co-chaired by WHIN and the City of Whittlesea. This practice guide was developed by the CoP to share learnings on how to set up safe, facilitated spaces with recommendations for similar CoPs.

Preventing Violence Against Women: Stories of Achievement from Melbourne’s North (PDF)
WHIN’s third Stories of Achievement features 15 case studies of the commitment and innovative works of the Building a Respectful Community Partnership. This publication focuses on preventing gender-based violence and progressing gender equality in the northern metropolitan region in the year 2021–22.

A collection of case studies of preventing violence against women projects across diverse settings and population groups, shared by the Building a Respectful Community Partnership. WHIN compiled this collection to promote evidence-based and intersectional practice and assist prevention workers to share learnings, challenges and successes. Evaluation of the Building a Respectful Community Strategy and Partnership 2017-2021 (PDF)
This report evaluates the third term of the BRC partnership, an alliance of 24 organisations led by WHIN who are committed to working together to prevent violence. It assesses the degree to which the partnership has progressed towards the goals and objectives outlined in the 2017-2021 strategy.

This evaluation brings together data from 24 organisations to evaluate primary prevention of violence against women action across Melbourne’s north and the Building a Respectful Community (BRC) Partnership approach. The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign (25 November–10 December) is a global campaign dedicated to ending violence against women and girls.

In 2023, WHIN produced social media tiles in Arabic, English, Greek, Hindi, Urdu and Tamil with two additional messages related to sexual and reproductive health.

Campaign resources 2020-2021
In 2020 and 2021, WHIN led a social media campaign using inclusive social media tiles designed in-house, with the theme ‘Taking Action for Gender Equality Every Day’. This theme features one action per day that we can all take to prevent gender-based violence.

Communications Guidelines for Preventing Violence Against Women (PDF)
This resource is for communications officers to support them in promoting gender equality and preventing violence against women. It provides a guide to performing gender analysis for communications outputs and considerations for gender-responsive practice.
