Everyone has the right to feel equal, safe, and respected.
Unfortunately, women and gender-diverse people often face violence in their homes, their communities and their workplaces.
The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign (also known as the ’16 Days of Activism’ Campaign) is a global campaign dedicated to ending violence against women and girls.
The 16 Days Campaign runs from 25 November, which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, International Human Rights Day.
These days were chosen to symbolically link violence against women and human rights and to emphasise that violence against women is a violation of human rights.

The Building a Respectful Community Partnership (BRC) is an alliance of 28 organisations with a shared vision of a gender equitable, safe and respectful community.
Led by Women’s Health In the North, the BRC Partnership works to guide and support organisations in the northern metropolitan region of Melbourne to prevent gender-based violence.
