The Building a Respectful Community Committee (formerly the Northern Metropolitan Region Preventing Violence against Women Committee) was established in 2012 following the release of the region’s first strategy to prevent violence against women.
The Committee meets quarterly to discuss opportunities for alignment and collaboration, guide the implementation of the Building a Respectful Community Strategy 2022-2026, and provide a networking opportunity for those working on the primary prevention of gender-based violence.
If you would like any further information on the Partnership or Committee, please contact the Health Promotion Team at WHIN on 03 9484 1666.
